At 3:51 a.m., at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, the Tidball's of Columbus welcomed Alice Rosemary to the world.

"It's overwhelming, a lot of build-up, then they are finally here. It's joyous and emotional," Aurda Tidball said.

Then the Tidball's got an unexpected visitor to their hospital room. Stinger, mascot of the Columbus Blue Jackets, with a prize basket for the family.

"This is our newest fan program, lots of fun Jackets things in that basket, but most importantly, game tickets!" Becky Coffey of the Blue Jackets told the family.

3-year-old Cora, the big sister, got into the basket, playing with the stuffed bear, and stuffed Stinger. Truly giving the toys a test run before her sister.

"It's funny, didn't know this was happening 20 minutes ago, it's fun, a nice surprise," Audra said.

Already big sports fans, this family will be taking a trip to Nationwide Arena, at some point.

"I've been to a few Jackets games, the atmosphere is amazing," Patrick Tidball, Alice's father said.

Now that they are close friends with Stinger, and the Jackets organization, this now family of 4, is truly a part of the CBJ family.

"She's their newest fan!" Patrick said.
