Columbus Dispatch: Worthington firefighters practice safety in helping heavier patients

Even after completing their training, physicians, nurses and first responders continue to learn in order to improve their skills and provide the best care possible for patients.  The OhioHealth Learning program helps them do just that.  Recently, a crew from OhioHealth Learning, including emergency medicine physician/associate program director of medical simulation Brad Gable, MD,  traveled to Worthington to work with Worthington fire on a rescue scenario that is becoming more common - rescuing obese patients.  The goal is to keep everyone - the first responders and the victims - safe.

Columbus Dispatch reporter Lori Kurtzman observed the training session.  Click the Columbus Dispatch logo to read the story.
