Guidelines for a Safe Holiday Season

COVID-19 will make the 2020 holiday season feel different from any other.  And as Ohio weathers this current surge, one thing we all need to recognize is that COVID fatigue is real.  Many people are simply tired of talking about it.  Tired of wearing masks.  Tired of not being together.  But, it's important to realize that right now is the most important time to be following these mitigation strategies because they work.  They save lives.

"We need everybody to wear a mask.  Physically distance.  Especially when you are with other people who do not live in your household," said Joseph Gastaldo, MD, OhioHealth system medical director of infectious diseases.

"This holiday season, you may have to consider celebrating the holidays in a different way," said Dr. Gastaldo.
