NBC4: HOOFit Walking Program Begins 5th Season

The 2016 OhioHealth HOOFit walking program officially kicked off on May 17th at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Eighty-one participants walked with OhioHealth physicians and Columbus Zoo animal experts at the first walk of the year, where they learned tips to slow down the aging process.

A great activity for anyone who is interested, HOOFit allows for a healthy stroll through the zoo and an easy way to get your steps in for the day. The walk is free with a paid Zoo admission and parking. Each walk steps off at the Activity Pavilion next to Conservation Lake. Participants can look forward to getting the inside scoop on the animals, as well as health advice from OhioHealth physicians.

OhioHealth OB/GYN Dr. John Parker shares that this program is fun because you get to interact, see the zoo and meet with a bunch of people who are excited about health and fitness.
