OhioHealth Recognized Among America's Greatest Workplaces for Job Starters in 2024

Newsweek

OhioHealth has been recognized as one of "America's Greatest Workplaces for Job Starters" by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group.

Newsweek's annual ranking, compiled in collaboration with a data-intelligence firm, Plant-A, features employers from a range of industries, including 68 hospitals and health systems across the nation. The list aims to guide job seekers toward companies that foster growth and development. Earning a spot means that OhioHealth is one of the best companies for individuals to begin their career journey.

Newsweek's list, released last week, is based on survey feedback from employees with fewer than five years of experience, working at organizations with over 500 employees. Participants ranked companies on categories including corporate culture; work-life balance; training and career progression; compensation and benefits; sustainability awareness; and proactive management of the diverse workforce.

As part of their commitment to learning, OhioHealth provides many opportunities for employees through mentorship programs, leadership initiatives, and associate development courses. Through recent partnerships with educational institutions like Ohio University, Columbus State Community College, South-Western City Schools, and Tolles Career and Technical Center, OhioHealth is working to create pathways for young talent in healthcare.
