10TV Concern 2nd Wave COVID-19 6.1.20

As Americans exercise their rights to protest, there is a concern about a second wave of COVID-19, due to the challenges of social distancing while in a large crowd.

"Respiratory droplets occur with coughing and sneezing, but they also occur with normal conversation - talking, yelling and screaming - and the droplets are spread that way," said Jospeh Gastaldo, MD, OhioHealth system medical director of infections diseases in an interview with 10TV's Tracy Townsend.

Those protesting are encouraged to social distance as much as possible, wear masks and bring hand sanitizer with them.
