Columbus Crew Celebrates Legacy Night Presented by OhioHealth

In recognition of their longstanding partnership, OhioHealth and the Columbus Crew celebrated Legacy Night at Lower.com Field on July 8th, thanking the current and future generations of Crew fans. Since 1997, OhioHealth has been a founding partner and the Official Healthcare Provider of the club.

During Legacy Night, 20,000 fans and partners in attendance were gifted gold, “Our City, Our Crew” T-shirts to show their support for the team and Columbus.

“I love the fact that we have so many OhioHealth associates, providers, and volunteers here tonight with all the other Crew fans,” said Sue Jablonski, OhioHealth Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. “We’ve had a lot of fun things. The crew members visited the hospitals, we’re giving onesies away to every baby that’s born, we have these great T-shirts for all the fans. There’s a lot of work that goes into that to organize it and bring everybody together—but it’s not work, it’s fun because we’ve got the Crew helping and OhioHealth helping with lots of energy and excitement.”

OhioHealth and the Crew held a series of heartwarming visits to OhioHealth Doctors Hospital and Riverside Methodist Hospital maternity centers leading up to this celebration. In June, babies born across the OhioHealth hospital network received onesies featuring the phrase “Home Grown,” celebrating the newest members of the Columbus Crew fanbase and a partnership that will continue to grow.

“We’re super proud at OhioHealth that we’ve been with the Crew since the early days. We’re going to continue to be with the Crew. They are all about doing their best and pushing themselves. We’re the same way at OhioHealth and it’s one big family,” said Jablonski.
