Marion Star: Nurses see sexual assault trauma firsthand

The sexual assault nurse examiners (SANE) who work with the forensic nurse team at OhioHealth Marion General Hospital (MGH) see the trauma associated with sexual assault all too often. Darlene Schoonard, coordinator of the forensic nurse team at MGH, is spreading the word on the importance of directing victims to the hospital as soon as possible.
