Medical Minute: Giving Tuesday
The OhioHealth Foundation invites the community to join in the spirit of giving this holiday season. Celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday encourages people to make a difference through donations or by volunteering their time to support organizations dedicated to positive change.
“When we do the right thing, it makes us feel good,” said Simon Bisson, OhioHealth Foundation, Vice President of Philanthropy. “An act of charitable giving, making that contribution out of gratitude or in recognition of someone else, can really just make us feel good in our hearts.”
The OhioHealth Foundation works year-round to raise and invest funds that drive innovations in medicine, support new technologies and sustain vital community programs and services. By engaging with the community, corporate partners and the general public, the Foundation ensures that donations support areas of greatest need, whether at a care site, a clinical program or by assisting OhioHealth associates.
“We couldn’t do it without the generosity of literally thousands of donors every year who help support our work,” Bisson said. “We know that giving is embedded in the core values of OhioHealth. Making a charitable contribution, no matter what the size, is a great way to champion OhioHealth values and to support our mission.”
The foundation’s We Give campaign, which runs through Giving Tuesday, also invites OhioHealth associates to join in supporting these efforts.
