New Welcome Area at OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital Made Possible by Gift From Longtime Dublin Resident

On Dec. 11, a special event was held at OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital to recognize and thank the Armbruster family for a generous gift they made to the care site.

The donation from longtime Dublin resident Robert (Bob) Armbruster and his wife, Jo, supported the renovation of the main lobby creating a welcome area for patients, families and staff that reflects the healing environment of the hospital.  In recognition of the Armbruster’s gift, this entry at Dublin Methodist will be named the “Bob and Jo Armbruster Information Area.”

genre_dmhdesk--3Bob Armbruster is no stranger to OhioHealth. Not only is Dublin Methodist his family’s preferred choice for healthcare, but he is also very familiar with the health system through his work as President of BWA South Company. During his tenure at BWA South, a company that provides plumbing and specialty construction products, he oversaw installation of plumbing components at both OhioHealth Riverside Methodist and Dublin Methodist hospitals.

The reception to honor the Armbruster’s gift was attended by leadership from Dublin Methodist, its clinicians, and members of the community, as well as more than a dozen of Bob’s former high school classmates who came to surprise him and celebrate his meaningful philanthropy.

“This thoughtful contribution is greatly valued,” shared Cherie Smith, PhD, MBA, RN, president of OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital and OhioHealth Grady Memorial Hospital, “We are beyond thankful for the Armbruster’s trust in Dublin Methodist and OhioHealth.”
