Cancer Physicians to Host “We Rise Together Event”

Get ready to come together, lift each other up, and rise above the challenge of cancer at "We Rise Together," an inspiring event designed to empower and educate. Join us on Saturday, November 15, from 4:00 PM to 8:30 p.m. at the Mill Run Event Center at 3861 Park Mill Run Drive in Hilliard.

This unique event, sponsored by Deepa Halaharvi, DO’s "The Breast Cancer Podcast," will bring together a community of survivors, healthcare professionals, and advocates for an evening dedicated to education, empowerment, and elegance. Attendees can expect powerful talks from leading experts in breast health and wellness, engaging panel discussions, and a moving survivor fashion show celebrating courage and resilience:

• Expert Panels: Gain insights from experts in breast cancer care, including advancements in treatment and wellness strategies beyond cancer.
• Interactive Q&A Sessions: Participate in "Speed Dating with the Experts" for personalized engagement with healthcare professionals.

Dr. Deepa Halaharvi, breast surgeon with OhioHealth, and Dr. Shabana Dewani, medical oncologist with Columbus Oncology & Hematology, who are leading this impactful survivorship event, emphasize the importance of community in overcoming the challenges faced by cancer. "When the passion for science and the love for the community come together, it creates a powerful force for change," said Dr. Halaharvi. "We are here to support, inspire, and uplift each other."
