OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital Earns National Recognition for Quality Care

On September 17, 2025, OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital was recognized as a top performer in the Vizient Bernard A. Birnbaum Quality and Accountability Ranking (Community Hospital cohort). The honor was announced during the Vizient Connections Summit in Las Vegas, where hospital leaders from around the world joined together to celebrate.

“This recognition is a reflection of the incredible work our associates, providers, and care teams do every day,” Cherie Smith, PhD, MBA, RN, president of OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital and OhioHealth Grady Memorial Hospital said. “Our patients trust us during some of the most important moments in their lives, and this award validates the commitment we bring to every single patient we serve and care for.”

This recognition places Dublin Methodist among the highest-ranking community hospitals in the country. Vizient’s rankings highlight hospitals that demonstrate outstanding performance across key quality domains including patient safety, mortality, clinical effectiveness, efficiency, patient-centeredness, and variation in care.

“At Dublin Methodist, we are honored to receive and celebrate this Vizient recognition,” Joseph Gastaldo, MD, vice president of clinical affairs at OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital said. “Most importantly, it is reflective of our associate's commitment in providing highly reliable care for all.”

“Every day, our teams at Dublin Methodist go above and beyond to deliver consistent, dependable care to the patients we serve.” said Jaron Knotts, MHI, RN, CPPS, manager of quality and patient safety at OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital. “The hospital continues to embody OhioHealth’s mission through compassionate care and an unwavering focus on safety and quality.”

The Vizient ranking is based on multiple national data sources, including the Vizient Clinical Data Base, the CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network, and patient feedback from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey.
