OhioHealth Invests Nearly $2 Million in Medical Imaging Upgrades

OhioHealth is investing $1.8 million dollars in new MRI scanners for OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and OhioHealth Ontario Health Center. The new systems provide higher-quality images, faster scans, and a comfortable experience for patients.

 “Our recent upgrades to our MRI systems are transforming our patients' scanning experience,” said Chris Clark, MBA, PT, director of radiation and cancer services at OhioHealth Mansfield and Shelby Hospitals. “These upgrades enable much faster, high-quality scans to quickly get our patients back to their busy lives.”

Mansfield Hospital installed the MAGNETOM Sola from Siemens in May. The more than $1 million dollar upgrade offers top-tier image quality, faster care, and reduced energy consumption.

Ontario Health Center will begin scanning patients with the new OASIS Velocity Open MRI System from Fujifilm on June 24. The open design provides patients with an unobstructed view, while the imaging capabilities provide high-resolution images, allowing radiologists to more accurately determine what is concerning, and what’s not, in a patient’s exam. Ontario Health Center’s manager of imaging services also says this will drastically decrease scan times for patients.

Ontario Health Center offers scheduled non-contrast MRI’s and CT scans, as well as walk-in x-ray exams. Mansfield Hospital offers a variety of scheduled imaging tests, including contrast and non-contrast MRI’s, CT scans, and x-rays.
