OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital partners with Nationwide Children’s Hospital for pediatric care

OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital welcomes Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a pediatric partner and to lead Mansfield Hospital’s pediatric hospitalist program. Together, Mansfield Hospital and Nationwide Children’s will provide expert, family-centered clinical care, including nursery, inpatient and outpatient, to neonates, children and families throughout Richland County and surrounding communities.

“We are excited to partner with nationally-recognized Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This expands community care for our smallest patients. To build upon the care of the respected pediatricians in the community, we will provide excellent specialized care in a hospital setting,” said Jean Halpin, president of Mansfield Hospital.

Other ways Nationwide Children’s serves Richland County and the surrounding communities include: cardiology (pediatric and adult congenital), electrocardiogram testing (EKG), echocardiogram (echo), gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, laboratory services, neurology, neurosurgery clinic, pediatric surgery and urology.

“We are excited to be Mansfield Hospital’s preferred partner for pediatric and adolescent health care,” said Darrell Mosby, vice president of Regional Development at Nationwide Children’s. “Together, we will focus on expanding the quality of care provided with a goal of keeping kids closer to home.”
