OhioHealth Marion Offering Free Tobacco Cessation Classes
Quitting smoking can be challenging, but OhioHealth Marion General Hospital is here to help. Our six-week free tobacco cessation program is now completely tailored to each participant. Participants can choose between in-person or virtual classes, ensuring personalized support that fits their needs.
Participants will:
- Attend an initial meet-and-greet with program materials and carbon monoxide monitoring.
- Learn a positive approach to quitting, strategies for overcoming addiction, barriers to cessation, health benefits, nicotine replacement options and stress-management techniques.
- Receive ongoing virtual or phone check-ins for support.
- Track progress through benchmark evaluations.
- Complete the program with carbon monoxide check, relapse prevention and certificate of completion.
“It’s a no-pressure zone,” said Kelly Andrews, class leader and respiratory therapist at Marion General . “This is a learning experience and an ongoing process. If there’s a desire to quit, it’s never too late.”
For relapse prevention and support, call 740-383-8711 or 740-375-6055. To register or for more information, email Kelly.Andrews@ohiohealth.com.
