OhioHealth O'Bleness' Relationship with Paleontologist Featured in National Geographic

OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital was featured in the October cover story of National Geographic magazine as part of a relationship between the hospital and world-renowned paleontologist and Ohio University professor Larry Witmer, Ph.D.

Witmer and a photography crew from Nat Geo paid a visit to O’Bleness this spring, and, with the help of O’Bleness Hospital radiology manager Heather Rockhold, used the hospital’s CT scanner to perform imaging on an 8.5 foot (frozen) crocodile. Rockhold has been working with Dr. Witmer for over 20 years, providing technical expertise and access to hospital imaging resources to further the research of his lab.
