OhioHealth Requiring Government ID at All Hospitals

OhioHealth continues to take increased measures to protect its patients, associates, and visitors. As part of that initiative, the hospital system is implementing a new visitor management process, requiring all visitors 18 and older to check in and show IDs before gaining access to a care site.

All hospitals will require government ID from adult visitors. This will confirm the visitor’s identity and help reduce the risk of workplace violence by ensuring everyone entering OhioHealth hospitals has a valid purpose for being there. Care sites have already begun implementing these changes, including OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, OhioHealth Doctors Hospital, OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital, OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, and OhioHealth Pickerington Methodist Hospital.

This ongoing commitment helps us create a secure environment and ensures peace of mind for our entire community.”

These new measures, in partnership with Protective Services, are another way OhioHealth is prioritizing associate and patient safety, while continuing to provide expert care. The health system will continue to work to prevent and reduce workplace violence during an increasingly violent time.
