OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center Expands Surgical Services with Launch of Spine Program
OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center is excited to announce the launch of its spine program, now offering specialized surgical care for neck and back conditions. This expansion, led by Houman Khosrovi, MD, a neurosurgeon with over 25 years of experience, ensures that patients in the region have local access to advanced treatments.
Dr. Khosrovi completed his medical training and residency at West Virginia University and founded the PARS Brain and Spine Institute in Parkersburg, West Virginia, in 2003. His extensive expertise includes treating cervical spine disorders, nerve compression and spinal deformities. With his leadership and the hospital’s full complement of surgical facilities, staff and equipment, Southeastern Medical Center is now offering both minimally invasive and complex spine procedures.
“This is a big step forward for our community,” said Wendy Elliott, president of Southeastern Medical Center. “In the past, patients needing these kinds of surgeries had to drive to Columbus or even out of state to receive care. Now, we can keep that care local. Our patients and their families can stay close to home, which makes a tremendous difference in both the recovery process and their overall healthcare experience.”
The new program will offer comprehensive care, including personalized pre-surgical planning, advanced surgical interventions, and rehabilitation services to support recovery.
