OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital Opens Market Express to Offer Meal Options On-The-Go

Market Express is now open at OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital to offer on-the-go meal options for hospital patients, visitors, and associates. 

The market offers sandwiches, salads, snacks, beverages, and more. While it’s not required, orders can be placed ahead of time using Sodexo’s Everyday App. When using the app to place orders, associates and guests will have an option for their meal to be delivered to a selected pickup area or they can pick it up in the cafeteria dining room. 

“We were able to open Market Express weeks ahead of schedule thanks to some great teamwork,” said Joy Bischoff, president of OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital. “It has already been a great addition for our patients, visitors, and our associates. This was part of an innovative effort to help with staffing while also supporting our sustainability initiatives.” 

Located in the former Gift Shop space, the Market Express will have a door with a badge swipe entrance, giving associates 24/7 access. Patients and guests can access the Market Express daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Market Express is cashless, meaning orders are paid for using credit cards at self-checkout stations or through Sodexo’s Everyday app.
