Six OhioHealth hospitals receive VHA Central PEAK Awards

COLUMBUS, Ohio — OhioHealth announced today that six of its hospitals have been awarded the VHA Central PEAK Award for Performance Excellence.

Winners of the award are:

  • OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital
  • OhioHealth Grant Medical Center
  • OhioHealth Doctors Hospital
  • OhioHealth Marion General Hospital
  • OhioHealth Grady Memorial Hospital.
The PEAK awards recognize overall, sustained clinical excellence on the Value Based Purchasing indicators identified and measured by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) as evidence of patient care quality.

Additionally, OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital received an award for the second consecutive year for overall sustained performance excellence in the Patient Experience category as measured on the HCAHPS (Patient Experience) indicators identified and measured by CMS as part of the overall Value Based Purchasing score.

VHA references publicly validated data for their awards. Award winners are selected from among all VHA Central members reporting data through CMS and participating in the VHA Central Superior Performance Improvement Initiative.

“We are honored to receive these awards,” said Bruce Vanderhoff, MD, Chief Medical Officer for OhioHealth. “Having so many of our care sites recognized validates that OhioHealth is among the nation's best health care providers.”?
