Hospital raises $10k for Foodbank

On July 8, OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital delivered a check to the Southeast Ohio Foodbank after raising over $10,000 in their Operation Feed campaign. Participation included nearly every department at the hospital. Those associates helped the campaign leaders surpass their goal and raise enough money to donate over 400,000 meals to local families in need. Throughout the campaign, there were a variety of events that took place through May and June. The hospital sold campaign t-shirts, held education sessions, hosted a cake and cookie auction, and had local food trucks outside every Tuesday during lunch. Money raised through those efforts allowed for more than 269 pounds of food to be donated. Click The Athens News logo or The Athens Messenger logo to read more.
