Deepa Halaharvi, DO, Installed as OhioHealth Foundation Endowed Chair for Breast Health
OhioHealth proudly shares the appointment of Deepa Halaharvi, DO, as the inaugural holder of the OhioHealth Foundation Endowed Chair for Breast Health. Endowed chairs are honorary appointments by the OhioHealth Foundation which recognize distinguished service. Funds from this endowment will support breast health programs and services to improve the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer for the benefit of our patients and community.
Dr. Halaharvi brings both expertise and empathy to her role as a fellowship-trained, board-certified breast surgeon and a breast cancer survivor herself. Since joining OhioHealth in 2014, she has helped shape the future of cancer care across the system, making a difference for patients and families.
Dr. Halaharvi’s story is one of compassion and connection. She devotes time to sharing knowledge and support, whether talking to a patient and their family, speaking at community events, conducting media interviews or reaching individuals through her educational efforts, podcast and social media outreach. By openly sharing her experiences and expertise, Dr. Halaharvi creates a space where hope and healing can flourish.
